Everyone encounters problems from time to time. If you have found that your problems are hard to resolve, or keep repeating, then psychotherapy might help.

I work with individuals in a warm, collaborative manner.  We link your difficulties with the solutions we discover to help you achieve your goals.  Outcome data from my practice shows that many clients start to experience significant positive relief within 2-5 sessions.

My style of therapy is direct, collaborative, and compassionate.  I work from scientifically-based treatments, but customize therapy for each client, because everyone is unique.  Whenever possible I use humor to make the path a bit easier.

The therapy I provide can be brief or long-term, depending upon what you want.

I work with adult individuals.  Some of the areas I work in are:
  • Anxiety, including performance anxiety, social anxiety, and panic attacks
  • Depression
  • Relationship and sexual issues
  • Marital and Premarital therapy
  • Self-esteem
  • Traumatic experiences and PTSD
  • Upsetting childhood experiences
  • Anger and self-control problems
  • Drug and alcohol problems
  • Obsessive-compulsive behaviors
Psychotherapy sessions are 50 minutes.  I also do "block" sessions of 150 minutes which can help us accomplish a lot in the very first session.

Research shows that the single most important factor in determining the success of therapy is the quality of the match between the client and therapist. If my style does not work for you, I am happy to help you find other therapists who work in different styles (no therapist is a good fit for all clients!)

My office is located at 753 N 35th St #311, Seattle, Washington 98103.

There is free street parking on the surrounding streets (do not park in the building parking lot)

  • Psychotherapy for individuals and couples costs $175 per 50 minute session.
  • I reserve a third of my practice for reduced-fee (sliding scale) for those in financial need.
  • I accept checks, cash, or credit cards as payments.
Due to limits on treatment established by many managed care organizations, I do not bill insu
rance companies. However, I can provide a receipt to submit to your insurance provider, and they may reimburse some of the cost. When calling your insurance to determine your coverage, give them my Washington Psychologist License #PY 60561890, NPI #1336339720, ask what your deductible is, what percentage of the fee they pay, and how many sessions you are allowed per year. Mental health coverage varies by plan. Also, it is important to be aware that it may take the insurance company a few months to process your receipts for repayment.

For clients doing "blocks" of multiple sessions in one day, please note that many insurance companies will only reimburse for one session per day or week.  Please contact your insurance provider to inquire about this.
